We then headed to the Balaji family‘s home where we were greeted with a warm welcome. We had a 2 hour camel ride and then we were able to see how the traditional food was made. Overall we felt very welcomed and it was super interesting to see what the rural life in India is like”

“Ik betaalde €94 voor een “volledige dagtour” naar Pushkar met gids, kamelenrit én jeep. Dit werd niet geleverd zoals beschreven. De gidsbegeleiding duurde minder dan 1 uur. Bovendien begon de gids een fysieke ruzie bij een tempel, wat zeer onprofessioneel en ongemakkelijk was. De kamelenrit vond plaats midden op de dag (niet bij zonsondergang), duurde ongeveer 30 minuten en de begeleider sprak geen Engels. We reden eerst langs de gewone weg en onderweg werd meerdere keren om extra geld gevraagd (o.a. voor foto’s en kleding). De jeep-rit bleek niet automatisch inbegrepen, ondanks de omschrijving, en moest ik zelf aankaarten. Ook die duurde slechts ongeveer 30 minuten. Het voelde alsof alles…”

“We were excited about the camel ride in the desert, the sunset was amazing. Visiting the desert itself was an amazing experience. Visiting the "cursed" abandoned village was also interesting. The show in the evening with traditional music and then with dancing and a fire show was worth watching. Extra thanks to Marvin, who accommodated us in everything and added a perfect explanation. Dinner was just the perfect icing on the cake.”
